TRC Open Show is Cancelled 

The Open Show scheduled for Aug 15th is cancelled as there is insufficient help available. Many people are away on holiday. We are sorry for the disappointment this will cause and hope to be able to hold another show soon at some time in the near future.

Beach Ride

 3rd Aug 

at Kenfig National Reserve, Ton Kenfig, Pyle, Bridgend, CF33 4PT.

Directions: M4 junction 37 Porthcawl, follow signs through North Cornelly and then to the Reserve. You must be in the car park before 4.45 pm as there will be no access after that.  The ride will go through the reserve to the beach and then along the beach to another bridle path that takes you to The Prince of Wales pub where they will be willing to privide pre-booked food -  then back along a country lane to the car park.

Contact Fleur on 07900200422 to book food and free parking ASAP. There will be no charge for the beach ride.

OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS

FLATWORK LESSONS THIS WEEKEND AT THE CLUB

FIELD WITH JULES HORTON

Jules Horton taught for us at the Usk Indoor School during the winter.  She is very experienced at the BRC Riding Test and has recently been placed 4th Nationally in her section of the Paraequestrian Dressage.

Lessons are £7 if three share for an hour; £10 if two share or £10 for a private 1/2 hour.

All enquiries to Catherine Price asap by email or txt ( away between 18 and 22nd July at Pony Club Camp).

Priority will be given to to those who are competing at the Area dressage but we hope that ALL members will take advantage of this opportuniy to learn and improve.

If booked, lessons MUST be paid for even if you fail to turn up

BRC Area Eventing

We will have Eventing Dressage practice Thurs 1st July and Thurs 8th July at the club field for those teams who have entered. Any members who wondered about having a go this year but may try next year, I suggest you come along to the event at Howick, Chepstow on the 11th July or pop out to Glan Usk, Crickhowell to look at the Welsh Festival Of Eventing 2nd/3rd July and walk the BE90 course which is an equivqlent XC course to the BRC one. This Festival has eventing at all levels so hopefully you will see some well known faces competing in dressage(s) and XC over HUGE fences.. More details to be found on the British Eventing website.

Dressage Practice : There will be a Dressage Arena marked out at the next 3 Wed evening sessions for anyone wanting to have a go if interested in the area Dressage Competition ( names to Vicky by 28th June).  The competition is achievable to all as tests range from Walk/Trot test, basic Prelim Test and a Riding Test where the rider is assessed rather than the horse. Come and have a go!.
