BRC ONE DAY EVENT RESULTS
Here are the results from the HORSE TRIALS ( One Day Event) held at Howick, Chepstow on Sunday 11th July 2010:
We had eight reiders represent Torfaen Riding Club. 1 Senior Novice Team and 1 Junior Novice Team.
Senior Team:-

All four riders enjoyed the day ( once it was all over!). For three of them this was their first ever attempt at a One Day Event and I believe there were a few sleepless nights on the Saturday before the event. Chris Evans started exceptionally well having been placed first in his section for the dressage. Unfortunately Whizz Kid had no respect in the show jumping arena but jumped clear on the cross country but collected a few time faults. Becki did well in Gressage and show jumping sections but unfortunately River did not like cross country fences. Tracey and Amirah completed all three phases and look forward to their next event for improvement in all three sections. Unfortunately, the team were eliminated overall.

The junior team came second overall. Well done to you all! Charlotte and Blue did their best dressage test to date, jumped clear showjumping and clear cross country and finished an exceptional 2nd place overall. VERY WELL DONE TO CHARLOTTE AND BLUE-A FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENT. Briony and Tango had a very good dressage score, had two jumps down in the showjumping and one refusal on the cross country and came 4th overall. Darcy and Polly who were competing at their first one day event coped very well with three sections and Darcy did very well to keep Polly calm in the dressage!.
Unfortunately Lydia's Pony - Magic had her vaccinations out of sync so couldn not take part in the team event. She did however compete as an individual and did very well in all three stages.
A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO - Jane Parry, Kaylie Barnaby, Ashley Weston and Tracey Price for spending the day as Cross Country fence stewards. Withut your help the teams could not have taken part on the day. Thanks again!
It was also veri nice to see other Torfaen Riding Club members supporting our competitors and taking the time out to see what One Day Eventing is all about. Lets see you all having a go next year.
